“Give me like ten shots of tequila,” Bruce said as he slid onto the stool at the counter. He felt exhausted and drained. There was a pain in his shoulder and he could not tell where he had gotten it from. It was probably because he had been working all day. His head throbbed. He wondered why he had even come at the bar. Wasn’t he supposed to be sleeping?

Bruce felt like he was being caught up in a maze he would never be able to get out. He was working too much, yet he never seemed to be doing enough. Maybe that was how it was supposed to be when you start your own business, he thought. There was no other explanation. He had a meeting early tomorrow, three meetings as a matter of fact. It was ten already and he had just stepped out of the office. He had been preparing for the meetings, arranging the key points that would be addressed in the meetings.

He then had some prospective investors that he knew he had to impress later in the day. The problem was that he was feeling detached from the world. This was not what he had been going through six months ago. Not that it was bad, the fact that he was always busy only made him a little worried that he was spending too much time at work and detaching himself from his friends.
